So far we have a busy 2015 summer: one week workshops, one day classes and several events. Last weekend we participated in the the first (we think) Food Festival at Instituto Allende, 2 weekends ago we were part of the very successful, Savores festival in the park. We at Cristi Fer Art Studio, offer our popular One Painting in One Day throughout June . I mention this because it was brought to my attention that some drawing/painting events offered by other artists in SMA, are discontinued through June. The One Painting in One Day workshop is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays. 9 AM to 12:30 PM Cost is $85 USD and includes all the materials and RT taxi from your condo/hotel to our studio. We are located in a beautiful villa with unobstructed light, 2 studios and a LARGE patio, in colonia Independencia. I also want to let you know that we are full time painters (teaching since 1989) and we teach because we enjoy to share what we love. Part of the Art Adventure workshop we incorporate a plein air session so participants can learn about the joy and challenges of painting outdoors. If you always wanted to try your hand on painting outdoors, beginner or advance painter alike, join us in a week long plein air workshops! San Miguel de Allende is the perfect place to do it! Spend the mornings painting with us and the afternoons exploring, sketching or painting  on your own. When painting with us AM, we provide all the materials and easels. The intro to plein air week it's usually the 2nd week of every month. At this moment we offer 2 versions of the  One Painting in One Day Workshop   No Experience Needed Class starts at 9 AM and finishes at 12:30 PM or so. If you need to stay a little longer for the final touches we'll be happy to help you accomplish it! Tuesdays we paint from photo references of San Miguel doors. I take and sell San Miguel doors photos. So I have a great collection, but you may bring your own images on your Ipod or printed. We cover principals drawing,  design and composition. You paint on canvas board 11" x 14" with acrylic paint, brushes and palette knife. You'll finish a delightful painting that will remind you for your San Miguel experience.
